Our Story
Seedy’s Plants started the way a lot of good things do—scrappy, a little unconventional, and rooted in passion. In May 2025, founder Rachael Turecamo opened Seedy’s out of her apartment garage. What might have sounded “a little shady” at first quickly became something special—a neighborhood hub where plants, design, and community came together.
One year later, Seedy’s has grown. Today, you’ll find us at our first official storefront on the edge of downtown Aberdeen.
GARAGE TO GARDEN CENTER: THE GROWTH OF SEEDY'S
Seedy’s Plant Shop sprouted in the most humble of places—a 10x40 garage packed with native plants, good dirt, and even better intentions. Founded by Rachael, a horticulture industry insider and marketing consultant with deep roots in the green supply chain, Seedy’s was never just about selling plants—it was about cultivating something bigger.
Rachael has worked behind the scenes with growers, wholesale nurseries, and top-tier garden centers. Now, she’s applying that expertise to build Seedy’s from the ground up. With a strong e-commerce foundation, pop-up events, and a focus on sustainability, Seedy’s is scaling toward a big goal: becoming one of the top 100 independent garden centers in the United States.
We’re not there yet—but we’ve got plants in the driveway, dirt under our nails, and a dream that’s growing fast.
Our commitment: Local First
We source our outdoor plants from North and South Carolina growers, giving them the best chance to thrive in your yard or home. Because the goal isn’t just to sell plants— it’s to help you succeed with them.
