Lavandula species
‘Frost Purple’ Lavender is a fragrant, sun-loving shrub known for its soft purple flower spikes and silvery-green foliage. The aromatic blooms appear from late spring through summer, filling the garden with the classic lavender scent while attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
Growing into a neat mound about 18–24 inches tall, ‘Frost Purple’ adds both color and texture to borders, herb gardens, rock gardens, and containers. Its elegant flower spikes are also perfect for fresh bouquets, dried arrangements, and lavender crafts.
This hardy lavender thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, especially sandy or gravelly conditions. Once established, it is highly drought tolerant and very low maintenance, making it an excellent choice for water-wise landscapes.
