Maranta ‘Lemon Lime’ (Prayer Plant) shows off neon-veined foliage and thrives in bright, indirect light—avoid direct sun, which can scorch and fade leaves. Keep the soil consistently moist (not soggy) and water when the top inch dries; curling leaves are a “thirsty” signal—use filtered or rested tap water to minimize mineral buildup. Provide high humidity (humidifier or pebble tray) and good airflow to prevent mold. Plant in a well-draining mix with perlite; repot only when rootbound into a pot with drainage. Fertilize every 4–6 weeks in spring–summer at half strength, trim tired leaves, and pinch tips for a fuller plant while monitoring for mites or mealybugs. Bonus: generally pet-friendly.
