It thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers consistently moist, well-draining soil, allowing the top inch to dry between waterings. High humidity and warm temperatures (65–85°F) support its lush foliage, making it ideal for naturally humid spaces or near a humidifier. Plant in a wide, shallow pot and keep the rhizome partially above the soil to prevent rot and encourage forward growth. Fertilize monthly during spring and summer for strong, vibrant leaves. Keep out of direct sun and away from pets, as it is toxic if ingested.
